Elementary School Camp (G1-3)
9am – 12pm: Reading and Writing Workshop / Patterns and Analogies in Math
1pm – 4pm: Hands-On Science/Computer

Reading and Writing Workshop: Students will be guided using shared reading, read aloud, shared writing, narrative writing, and literacy stations. Presentations of one polished work will be conducted at the close of the last day of the camp.

Patterns and Analogies in Math: Analogies teach students to break problems down into their component parts, making it easier to recognize familiar formats that enable students to produce solutions. In this class, we will help students get a grasp on the relationships of analogies by providing practices in numbers & operations, algebra, geometry, measurement and probability. Students will also work with educational puzzles (including Osmo).

Elementary School Camp (G4-5)
9am – 12pm: Mathematical Problem Solving / Reading and Writing Workshop
1pm – 4pm: Hands-On Science/Computer

Mathematical Problem Solving: This class will provide students fun and engaging problem solving activities. We will not just teach how to arrive at a solution, but to understand the process and concepts behind the process.

Introduction to Contest Math
Selected topics on MATHCOUNTS and AMC8

This camp is for students who are relatively new to competition math. Introductory topics in algebra, counting and geometry will be covered daily. Students will get a taste of problems from elementary and middle school math competitions. Practice sessions will include mock exams, help session and buzzer round.

Day 1: Algebra : Word Problems – (Rate, Work and Mixture), Integer Solutions.
Day 2: Geometry: Special Right Triangles, Squares and Rectangles.
Day 3: Counting and Probability (Basics of Counting, Multiplication and Addition Principle)

Tuition: $249

Who should take this: Students who have completed Pre-Algebra

9am – 12pm: Lecture (Hanife)

1pm – 4pm: Practice Session

Level 1: This class is for students who want to improve their performance on middle school competitions such as AMC 8 and MATHCOUNTS.

Who should take this: This camp is for students who have basic knowledge on competition math. Introductory topics in algebra, counting and geometry will be covered daily. Students will get a taste of problems from MATHCOUNTS and AMC8. Practice sessions will include mock exams, help session and buzzer round.

Day 1: Algebraic Number Theory (Algebraic Manipulations and Integer Solutions)
Day 2: Geometry: Special Right Triangles and Similarity
Day 3: Counting and Probability – Selected Problems in Permutation and Combination

Tuition: $299

9am – 12pm: Practice Session (including buzzer round)

1pm – 4pm: Lecture (Hanife)

What to do

  1. New user registration or returning use logging in.
  2. Add classes. After adding classes, select “GO TO NEXT STEP” on the bottom right.
  3. Check out and payment selection:
    • If you pay with a credit card or paypal (billing@momentumlearning.org), you will be charged 3.5% processing fee. After you pay, a receipt will be emailed to you automatically.
    • If you pay online with Chase Quickpay, Zelle, or plan to mail us a check, follow the instructions below:
      1. Click “Skip this step” on the bottom left and an invoice will be emailed to you automatically.
      2. Manual Pay – No Additional Charge

      3. A receipt will be sent out after we receive your payment (it may take 1-2 business days to process manual payments)

  • $40 annual registration fee (2019 Fall – 2020 Summer)

Discount

  • 10% discount if paid by 9/30;
  • 5% discount if paid by 10/31.

Refund Policy

  • $100 fee if canceling at least 4 weeks before camp starts
  • 50% credit if canceling within 4 weeks before camp starts.
  • No refund/credit after camp starts.
