2019 Online Math Summer Camp Selection Criteria and Camp Descriptions

All sessions are two weeks half day camps. It will be live-streamed from our Sugar Land Camp. Mrs. Nal (level 1 – 2.5) and Dr. Nal (level 3) will teach all these sessions.

The online camps are instructor led classes combined with daily homework. We will use Zoom video and Canvas LMS to work with students. The students will be able to see the teacher on screen and vice versa. Students will be able to ask questions in class. Apps for Canvas and Zoom are available on IOS and Android. When students log into Canvas LMS, they will be able to see videos, handouts and assigned homework on their dashboard. When a quiz or homework is completed, students will get immediate feedback.

Students need to apply for a free Canvas account. Instructions will be emailed to the students prior to starting of the camp.

Note: The students should take the same level sessions if they want to take more than one session.

Mrs. Nal

Mrs. Nal is a nationally well known mathematics teacher focused on contest math. As a math coach, Mrs. Nal taught State and National MATHCOUNTS participants, USA(J)MO qualifiers, MOSP attendees, USAJMO winners/honorable mentions. She was the coach of the TX MATHCOUNTS Team that placed 1st at Nationals in three consecutive years, 2018, 2017 and 2016, 3rd in 2011 and 7th in 2015.
