**Note:** The students should take the same level sessions if they want to take more than one session.

**Introduction to Contest Math: **Selected topics on MATHCOUNTS and AMC8

**Who should take this:** Students who have completed Pre-Algebra

**Level 1**: This class is for students who want to improve their performance on middle school competitions such as AMC 8 and MATHCOUTNS.

**Who should take this:** Students who completed Algebra I and familiar with basic Geometry topics. Students need to score 15+ on AMC8 / 75+ on AMC10 or get instructor approval.

**Session 1
**Dates: June 17 – 28 (M-F)

9am – 4pm (Mr. Y)

Tuition: $1,250 (half day $700)

**Session 3**

Dates: July 29 – August 9 (M-F)

9am – 12pm (Mrs. Nal)

1pm – 4pm (TBD)

Tuition: $1,250 (half day $700)

**Session 1 & 3 will cover the same content**

- Diophantine Equations
- Base Numbers
- Sequences and Series
- Functions

1pm – 4pm:

- Coordinate Geometry
- Area in Triangles and Special Quadrilaterals
- Circles (Angles, Length and Area)

**Session 2**

Dates: July 15 – 26 (M-F)

9am – 4pm

- Divisibility and Factors
- LCM and GCF
- Modular Arithmetic
- Algebraic Number Theory
- Counting with Restrictions

1pm – 4pm (Emrah)

- Combinations
- Pascal’s Triangle and Binomial Theorem
- Probability
- Special Right Triangles

**Level 2:** This class is for students who want to improve their performance on higher level competitions such as AMC 10-12 / National Level MATHCOUTNS.

**Who should take this class:** Students who completed Algebra I and Geometry and can score 100+ on AMC 10

**Level 2.5:** This class is for students who want to improve their performance on competitions such as AMC 10/12, AIME, or November HMMT .

**Pre-Requisite:** 3-5 on AIME

**Session 2**

Dates: July 15 -26 (M-F)

9am – 12pm (Half Day ONLY)

Tuition: $700

9am – 12pm (Mrs. Nal)

- Principle of Inclusion and Exclusion
- Recursion (Fibonacci, Catalan and Bell Numbers)
- Event with States
- Burnside’s Lemma

**Level 3:** This class is for students who want to improve their performance on competitions such as AIME, HMMT, PUMaC

**Pre-requisite:** 6+ on AIME

Dates: July 15 – 26 (M-F)

9am – 4pm

Tuition: $1,500

9am – 12pm (Dr. Nal)

The combo topics that will be covered include:

- Events with states
- Recursions
- Expected value and linearity of expectation
- Conditional probability
- Graphs and cycles

The NT topics that will be covered include:

- Solving Diophantine equations
- Fermat’s Little, Euler and Wilson theorems
- Modular arithmetic, Chinese remainder theorem
- Euclidean algorithm, Bezout theorem

1pm – 4pm (Dr. Nal)

**Level 4:** Selected Olympiad topics USA(J)MO

**Who should take this:** USA(J)MO qualifier or students who scored 9+ on AIME or Instructor approval. This camp will focus on Olympiad Math (proofs). Students will learn how to write proofs and learn more in depths topics and techniques to transition from AIME problems to USA(J)MO problems. This camp will help students improve their USA(J)MO scores.

Dates: July 29 – August 9 (Dr. Nal)

**Discount**

- 10% discount if paid by 4/7;

**Refund Policy**

- $100 fee if canceling at least 4 weeks before camp starts
- 50% credit if canceling within 4 weeks before camp starts.
- No refund/credit after camp starts.
